It’s not every day that Queenstown welcomes a world-renowned comedian, but audiences were treated to an unforgettable night with Jimmy Carr performing back-to-back shows at the Queenstown Event Centre. The event drew a massive crowd, filling the venue to capacity and delivering an electric atmosphere from start to finish. Also filling the venue was our premium d&b Line Array system with crystal-clear sound throughout the auditorium, so every punchline landed perfectly, no matter where guests were seated.
To elevate the live experience even further, we deployed our full LED screen setup, creating dynamic, high-impact visuals across the stage. A dedicated video technician operated live camera feeds, ensuring that no matter where guests were seated, that they enjoyed a close-up view of every expression, adding an immersive touch to this world-class comedy event. Static LED lights delivered bold colour washes and depth across the stage, while intelligent moving LED lights added energy, motion, and dramatic effects throughout the performance. Together, they transformed the space with vibrant beams, seamless transitions, and perfectly timed lighting cues that amplified the excitement of the night.
The Queenstown Event Centre remains one of the region’s most versatile and sought-after venues, offering expansive space for innovative event production. With flown truss systems and an extensive lighting rig, we transformed the auditorium into a vibrant, high-energy performance space; combining spectacular audiovisual technology with creative production design to turn an extraordinary night of comedy into an unforgettable live event experience.
