Bay Dreams South
A new chapter for Bay Dreams South started this year, as the festival made its debut in Central Otago at the Queenstown Event Centre. Attracting more than 8000 people from the early afternoon until the sun set in the evening.
With two stages featuring over 50 artists, Bay Dreams South showcased a diverse range of local and international acts.
The festival had something for everyone, with local DJs performing in the silent disco themed stage and on the main stage, large international acts from the US and UK, particularly from the hip-hop scene. Headline acts such as Quavo, NLE Choppa, and Luude brought the house down with their electrifying performances.
One crucial element of any daytime festival is the lighting design. We made sure that the stage came alive from the moment the festival started until it ended.
Using a combination of Clay Paky Mythos2 and HY B-EYE K15 lights, they created a textured look in the ceiling and added depth to the stage. The VuePix AR5 centre stage was used to present captivating graphics, completing the full production look.
The result was a visually rich show that looked great both during the daytime and as the sun set. The lighting design enhanced the performances of the artists and created an immersive experience for the crowd.
